The Popular Show Season Four Reveals the Soldiers Table

Since the launch of Campaign 4, fresh DM Brennan Mulligan has kept viewers on edge with rich lore, a diverse cast of heroes, and a thrilling plot showcasing celestial beings, fiends, and dark forces increasing in strength within the urban setting.

Heads-up: Revealing details for the third episode of Campaign 4 follow below.

The Combat-Oriented Party Unveiled

Episode 3 ended with a dramatic pause and revealed the initial group of characters who will split off from the primary party to embark on their independent quest, distinct from the additional parties.

This warrior group features Teor (portrayed by Travis Willingham), the nimble rogue (Laura), the fierce warrior (Whitney), Wicander (Sam Riegel), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie).

The Reason for Division

With a large ensemble, it was evident from the outset that having everyone at the same party would be unworkable.

This explains, the first four episodes of Campaign 4 serve as an Overture, weaving together the personal journeys before dividing into three distinct groups: Soldiers, Schemers, and Seekers.

The Nature of the Warrior Group

As described by the DM, the warrior group is for adventurers who enjoy a classically intense fight-heavy story mode where diplomatic options are scarce.

Initially, characters like the hesitant healer Wicander might seem out of place, but the events of the third episode make it clear why these five characters are perfectly fit for the combat party.

Why They Must Go

To begin with, the group knows exactly where to proceed after a brutal initial meeting with the enemy group.

An old friend of Thjazi—whose death started the campaign’s events—used The Crow Keepers for his own means, breaking into Thjazi’s hideout, assaulting the rogue, and swiping all the enchanted items to sell off.

The traitor then paid off his debts and fled to a fortified location in the remote area, above the city, with Cyd Pridesire close behind.

Personal Motivations

Moreover, each adventurer has a specific drive to exit Dol-Makjar:

  • Thimble, as the companion and closest confidant, seeks vengeance.
  • The adventurer knows Timmony and cautions that it is a nasty environment.
  • Tyranny and The cleric, having resisted his relatives’ demands to eliminate the target and instead saved him, have no other options.
  • Yet, their reputation as important members in the influential clan could enable the party access areas they typically wouldn’t be able to.
  • Furthermore, The fighter vowed a unbreakable promise to The cleric for his rescue and will now go with him anywhere.

Fugitives

Lastly, all of them are sought by the powers that govern the setting for a range of causes, making remaining behind too risky:

  • The agile adventurer and Kattigan are known criminals.
  • Tyranny and The cleric defied the influential house and the horde of evil beings they are partnered with.
  • The fighter is marked for death by the clan.

This results in them no alternative but to journey toward Timmony in quest for Casimir.

Future Episodes

Based on episode three’s post-show segment, we learn that the combat party will not appear next week, leaving the other eight cast members to form the Questers and Planners tables.

Viewers can look forward to learning which players will be assigned to which table in the story’s last Overture episode, available to watch on October 24.
